American Idol or WWF?

So many talents....which one to use to get on TV? Great wrestling skills (we have those in the family) or excellent singing skills. Ali has so many difficult decisions ahead.

This was one of the MANY songs sung last night by the Toby Johnson Choir (there's Ali in the front!!!) during the Winter Concert. These 7th and 8th graders are soo excited to be singing-especially the eight boys!!!!

ALI's First Win

Today was a very exciting day in our house. Ali (after three very disheartening tries) won his first wrestling match. We are soo excited for him. He beat his opponent 10-6!!! Here's a picture of his moment of pride.

Ammar's Christmas Party

Last week was Ammar's Christmas party. Why stand still and follow the teacher's instructions? Anyone can do that. Ammar decided to hop around like a rabbit-make things interesting.

the holiday season is near.....

for some that means Christmas is nearing, but for our family that means Eid is right around the corner.

On our shopping trip this past weekend the kids (as usual) where asking for more toys. I reminded them that Eid is just a few days away and the Eid bunny (yes that's right-the Eid bunny) would be bringing toys to them if they were good little boys. (some background: while most homes are visited by Santa Clause in December, the Khan household welcomes the Eid bunny into our house twice a year) I also explained to them that the economy is not doing well these days and that the Eid bunny may have to cut back on how many toys she brings them. At this point Ali says, "We'll just tell her to keep trying."

When we got home Hassan wrote this letter to make sure Eid bunny remembered him during these hard times.
